mission that goes back 65 million years on Dinosaur. Don't miss
one of the park's highlights, Kilimanjaro Safaris® in

Downtown Disney Area:

Celebration
The charming appeal of the neighborhood of Celebration is definitely
worth a visit. Located on 4,900 acres, Celebration has thousands
of residents living in picturesque homes and apartments. Celebration's
downtown area offers shops, restaurants, theaters and a hotel. Market
Street is a showcase for some of the world's leading architects.
Downtown Orlando
Find less tourist-focused nightlife and attractions in downtown
Orlando, including the Orlando Science Center. Scores of clubs and
restaurants are located in the heart of the city, which is one of
the fastest growing in the country. Dozens of antique shops line
"Antique Row" on Orange Avenue near Lake Ivanhoe.
Harry P. Leu Gardens
This 50-acre botanical garden on the shores of Lake Rowena presents
a tranquil break from all the theme-park action. Trails guide visitors
through massive camphors, moss-draped oaks, palms, cicadas and camellias
-- the latter signified by one of the world's largest collections:
50 species and some 2,000 plants that blossom from October through
March. There are 75 assortments of roses in the site's proper gardens,
as well as orchids, azaleas, desert plants, and colorful annuals
and perennials. The attraction also has palm, bamboo, and butterfly
gardens.
International Drive
With so much to do, International Drive is an attraction onto itself.
With Ripley's Believe It or Not, Wet 'n Wild, Skull Kingdom and
many other fun spots along I-Drive, visitors could spend days exploring
this popular strip. Pointe Orlando is also the home of several restaurants
and bars, Muvico Pointe 21 Theaters and WonderWorks. The Mercado
is another shopping/restaurant/attraction complex. Besides 60 shops,
it has six restaurants and attractions that include Titanic: Ship
of Dreams and the upcoming Guinness World of Records Experience.
Dinner theaters abound and three major ones in the I-Drive area
are: King Henry's Feast, Pirates Dinner Adventure and Sleuths Mystery
Show. Don't feel like fighting the traffic? The I-Ride Trolley runs
from 7 a.m. to midnight along I-Drive from the Belz Outlet Mall
to SeaWorld, with 54 stops on the way. Adult fare is 75 cents, and
children younger than 12 ride free.
Old Town
Be sure to visit Old Town--a four-block shopping, dining and entertainment
complex, with an enormous lighted Ferris wheel and a dozen more
rides. Admission and parking are free. New attractions include the
Hollywood Wax Museum and Tower of London Experience.
Orlando Museum of Art
Founded in 1924, the Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) is an educational
institution whose mission reflects the continued community support
for the arts and upholding its role as a leading cultural institution
in the region. The museum houses some of the most prestigious traveling
exhibits in the nation and a permanent collection of 19th- and 20th-century
American art, pre-Columbian art dating from 1200 B.C to A.D. 1500,
and African art.
SeaWorld Adventure Park Florida & Discovery Cove
Educate yourself on aquatic life and find big thrills at SeaWorld.
The newest thrill is Kraken, a monster of a ride that has the distinction
of being the fastest, tallest and longest roller coaster in town.
Journey to Atlantis was chosen by Disney's Adventure magazine as
one of the nation's scariest thrill rides and by USA Today as one
of the nation's top five attractions for 1998. SeaWorld's trademark
continues to be their spectacular world-class shows and up-close
animal encounters.
If you wish to have a more intimate look at sea-life, just look
next door to Discovery Cove. Swimming with dolphins is the centerpiece
of a daylong adventure in this exotic tropical oasis. You can also
snorkel with thousands of tropical fish, explore underwater shipwrecks
and mysterious grottos, and lazily swim down a tropical river with
waterfalls and a freshwater lagoon. Interacting with a bottlenose
dolphin at Discovery Cove is a memory that will stay with you for

Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure
